Overview:
The controlled assessment is worth 60% of the overall GCSE grade.
You have 45 hours to complete the coursework, which consists of 40 A4 pages, plus a practical outcome (circuit & casing).

40 hrs in TOTAL (~28 weeks)
18 weeks should be spent on Portfolio (written work)
10 weeks should be spent on the Product (practical work)
The mark scheme is made up of the following sections:
*Investigating the Design (8 marks ~ 10 pages)
*Development of Design proposals, including modelling (32 marks ~ 20 pages)
*Making (32 marks)
*Testing & Evaluation (12 marks ~ 10 pages)
*Communication (6marks)
